Lisnify Privacy Policy

Article 1 (General Provisions)
- This Privacy Policy (hereinafter "Policy") sets forth the handling of personal information in the service "Lisnify" (hereinafter "Service") provided by Jugemu Tech LLC (hereinafter "Company").
- This Policy is established pursuant to Article 11 (Data Handling), Paragraph 5 of the Lisnify Terms of Service (hereinafter "Terms") and applies as an integral part of the Terms.
- For matters not provided for in this Policy, the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter "APPI") and other applicable laws and regulations shall apply.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- Terms used in this Policy shall have the meanings defined in Article 2 of the Terms, in addition to the following:
- "Personal Information": Personal information as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the APPI.
- "Personal Data": Personal data as defined in Article 16, Paragraph 3 of the APPI.
- "Access Logs": Information automatically recorded in connection with access to the Service, including IP addresses, access timestamps, and request details.
Article 3 (Personal Information Collected)
The Company collects the following personal information in providing the Service:
- Email Address: Used for account authentication and communication with users.
- Show Configuration Information: Configuration information of shows created by users, including source URLs, narrator settings, production schedules, and guidelines.
- Usage History: Credit consumption and purchase history, episode generation history, transaction records, and similar information.
- Payment-Related Information: Payments for credit purchases are processed through Stripe's payment services. The Company does not store credit card numbers or other detailed payment method information. The information retained by the Company is limited to customer identifiers and transaction identifiers issued by Stripe.
- Access Logs: IP addresses, access timestamps, request details, and similar information are automatically recorded.
Article 4 (Purposes of Use)
The Company uses the collected personal information for the following purposes:
- User authentication and account management
- Creation and management of shows, and generation and distribution of episodes
- Credit management and billing processing
- Improvement of the Service, development of new features, and quality enhancement
- Detection and response to system failures and maintenance of security
- Response to violations of the Terms and prevention of unauthorized use
- Delivery of important notifications regarding the Service (such as changes to terms and maintenance)
- Response to inquiries from users
Article 5 (Cookies and Similar Technologies)
- The Service uses the following cookies. All are essential for providing the Service, and no cookies are used for tracking or advertising purposes.
- access_token: Stores an authentication token in JWT (JSON Web Token) format, used to maintain the user's authentication state.
- refresh_token: Used to refresh the authentication token and ensure session continuity.
- Session Cookie: Used for server-side session management.
- Users may refuse cookies through their browser settings. However, if cookies for the Service are refused, some or all features of the Service may become unavailable.
Article 6 (Provision to Third Parties and Outsourcing)
- The Company does not provide users' personal information to third parties except in the following cases:
- When the user has given consent
- When required by law
- When necessary to protect the life, body, or property of an individual, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
- When particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
- When it is necessary to cooperate with a national government organ, local government, or a person entrusted thereby in executing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the consent of the individual may impede the execution of such affairs
- The Company outsources data handling to the following service providers to the extent necessary for providing the Service. The Company exercises necessary and appropriate supervision over these outsourced parties.

Article 7 (Handling in Foreign Countries)
- The Service handles personal information on servers and services located in the following foreign countries:
- Amazon Web Services, Inc.: Data is processed and stored on servers located in the United States (Virginia, us-east-1 region).
- Anthropic, PBC: AI processing (article selection, script generation) is performed on servers located in the United States.
- Google LLC: AI processing (article selection, script generation, speech synthesis) is performed on servers located in the United States.
- Stripe, Inc.: Payment processing is performed on servers located in the United States.
- For the cross-border transfers described above, the Company has entered into appropriate contracts with each service provider and has confirmed that security measures meeting the standards required by the APPI are in place.
Article 8 (External Data Transmission)
The Service causes the user's browser to send requests to the following external servers (information provided pursuant to Article 27-12 of the Telecommunications Business Act):

Article 9 (Data Retention Periods)
The Company retains collected personal information for the following periods. Data is deleted without delay after the retention period has elapsed.

Article 10 (Security Measures)
The Company implements the following measures to prevent leakage, loss, and damage of personal information and to ensure its security:
- Encryption of Communications: TLS (Transport Layer Security) is used for all communications to encrypt data transmission and reception.
- Access Control: AWS IAM (Identity and Access Management) restricts access to data to the minimum necessary permissions.
- Session Encryption: Server-side session information is encrypted for management.
- Token-Based Authentication: Authentication using JWT (JSON Web Token) ensures secure management of authentication information.
- Database Encryption: DynamoDB encryption features encrypt stored data.
Article 11 (User Rights)
- Users may make the following requests to the Company based on the APPI:
- Notification of the purpose of use of retained personal data
- Disclosure of retained personal data
- Correction, addition, or deletion of the content of retained personal data
- Suspension of use or erasure of retained personal data
- Suspension of provision of retained personal data to third parties
- Requests under the preceding paragraph shall be made to the contact information provided in Article 14. The Company will respond within the period prescribed by law after verifying the identity of the requester.
- If the Company is unable to comply with a request under the preceding paragraph based on applicable laws, the Company will notify the requester of the reasons without delay.
Article 12 (Use by Minors)
When minors use the Service, they shall do so with the consent of their legal representative (such as a parent or guardian). Legal representatives shall review the content of this Policy and bear responsibility for the minor's use of the Service.
Article 13 (Amendments)
- The Company may amend this Policy. Users will be notified of amended policies through announcements on the Service.
- If a user continues to use the Service after the Policy has been amended, the user is deemed to have agreed to the amended Policy.
- For significant amendments, the Company will endeavor to provide notification at least 14 days before the effective date of the amendment.
